I graduated from Arizona State University College of Integrative Sciences and Arts last December with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Biological Sciences. In pursuing my degree, I developed interests in applied biological research and science communication. Education empowers people to better their lives, both personally and professionally, and so it should be made accessible to anyone who seeks it out. Believing this, I have often sought opportunities to provide that service wherever I can. . My career at Arizona State University started as a student with the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. There, I was able to intern with Keri Sallee, a biology teacher at Poston Junior High School, leading both small groups and the full class. After moving my pursuits to CISA, I had the opportunity to work for Dr. Kelly Steele as a grader for general genetics. As a grader I evaluated student work, but I also participated weekly recitations and organized regular content reviews outside of class to assist with increasing student understanding. Since graduating, I've been working as an Instructional Specialist at ASU.
