I have over 20 years of professional experience in the Health Care field, which has allowed me to become highly skilled in the development of educational materials, including curriculum development. As a professor in Higher Education, I was trained in adult-learning strategies, team collaborations, measuring objective data for outcome research, research based best teaching practices/strategies, and development of course materials. As a prior professor in a Higher Education setting, teaching Physical Therapy and Pre-Nursing students, which allowed me to gain advanced experience working remotely through Adobe Connect, Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Office; etc. and allowed me to develop strong communication skills necessary for a remote position. Currently, I am working in a Home Health setting, as a licensed clinician, providing Physical Therapy services to a diverse population of individuals. Along with my clinical responsibilities, I am also involved with development of evidenced-based educational materials for local M.D.’s to provide justification of home health services. Regular in-service training was also provided to evaluate the success of the educational materials and to allow feedback across disciplines. With my background comes extensive knowledge of the need to cooperate with various interdisciplinary team members, identify improvement in systems, develop team engagement, and promote regular collaboration of ideas to promote organizational goals and objectives. My presenting skills are based upon evidence based research surrounding adult learning styles and reflects a model of active engagement.
