I began attending Alfred State in the fall of 2016 as a nursing major. After my first year, I discovered that I wanted to broaden my knowledge about many subjects, rather than restricting myself to just one. This was when I decided to enroll in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in health and science and a concentration in humanities and social science. Interdisciplinary studies has allowed me to gain knowledge and experience in various fields in order to address complex problems. It also allowed me to learn about all subjects and obtain a more well rounded education. During my time at Alfred State I have served on Student Senate as the President and Chair, Executive Vice President, and Vice President of Student Engagement. I have worked in the offices of Student Engagement, Civic Engagement, and Residential Life. With these experiences combined, I am able to utilize them in any future careers that I may have.
