I am a first-year medical student with a love for learning, especially math and science. I have been a student for my entire life and I have learned many study habits, tips, and methods that have helped me succeed. I love working with people to find their unique learning style and tailor my methods to suit them best. I am energetic and able to stay motivated through tough tasks because I know how exciting it is to master something you thought you'd never understand. I try and explain things in multiple ways, including diagrams and pictures, different wording, and using analogies to enhance learning. In my free time, I like to read, hike, workout, watch movies, and play board games. I am a club swim coach and lifelong swimmer. I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology and Environmental Studies at UW-Madison. I tutored Intro to Biochemistry for three semesters and my students had increased test scores throughout the semester. I tutored Intro Chemistry for one semester to help prepare students for exams and created my own study guides and questions to enhance their understanding. I have completed both college and medical school courses in Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry and am able to explain my knowledge at any skill level. I took many Chemistry courses in college, including Intro to Chemistry and Organic Chemistry.
