Hello, My name is Erdem (Adam) Ozcan; I am a finance professional who has been working in the oil and gas industry nearly 10 years. I am an American citizen who is originally from Turkey. I have been living and working in the U.S. since 2009. While English has become my native language; during my time in the U.S., I also learned Spanish at intermediate level. I want to work as a tutor for two main reasons. One of them is that I have ambition to teach. Teaching and sharing information is fun; besides this, such activity also prompts teachers to revise their knowledge and gives them opportunity to approach the class material from different perspective with the help of learners' questions. During my collage years in Turkey, I worked as a tutor (via an exclusive program) during summer seasons (2) to help financially disadvantaged children to prepare them for the upcoming semesters. At my current job, I introduce my business segment's activities and the risk approach (the concept of what I do at work) to multiple individuals in other segments. I also teach English to my wife. Earning a secondary income is another reason I want to be a tutor. I find this opportunity suitable to my background and my core qualities. I like the flexible nature of this profession.
