I have always wanted to work in education since I was a small child. I received my bachelor's degree in secondary math education in 2003. From 2003 to 2009 I taught high school math, with the except of the 2006-2007 school year, during which I taught a college course that was designed to teach education majors how to teach math. In 2006 I received my master's degree in curriculum and instruction and became increasingly interested in the field of curriculum. In 2010 I accepted my first project as a remotely located curriculum consultant, and would continue to work regularly for many clients remotely up until and including the present. As a teacher at heart, although I genuinely enjoy working "behind the scenes" in curriculum, I have realized that I have been missing working with students. This realization led me to apply to be an online tutor. It fits perfectly into my already established career working from home for the last 10 years, while also bringing me back to why I got into this field to begin with: helping students.
