I have worked with learners of every level, from Pre-K to college and beyond. I have educated in different fields and with varying techniques. I have tutored one-on-one with college students learning entry-level geology and with students Kindergarten through 4th grade on achieving literacy standards. I was a science camp assistant teacher in 2016, engaging with all elementary school ages to explore topics in STEM. I have been a lead and assistant teacher in traditional classrooms, developing and executing lesson plans. My experience in the Seattle Public Theater allowed me to lead teenagers in various plays and improvisational shows. My personal philosophy is hands-on and student-focused. I pay attention to every student’s needs and personalize their experience and seek opportunities to build their interests into the taught content. All students deserve the opportunities available to them through education, dynamic teacher- student relationships, and support. I believe that students should be able to pursue the things they are interested in to build their confidence and competence in the relevant subject matter, supported fully by their education and community.
