I am a graduate from Wichita State University with a Bachelor's in education. (middle and secondary mathematics) Before my collegiate coursework which included student teaching, studying in the field, and core practicum, I was a math and chemistry tutor for four years at a high school. There I served AVID, honors, AP, and IB students. After this I went on to be a math tutor at my university level for small groups and one-on-one. My tutoring career lead me to an opportunity at the Mathnasium of West Wichita which served students from K - college. With the diversity of demographics I have been in contact with I gained a lot of learning, note-taking, and retention strategies that I use in my classroom now. I currently am a high school math teacher.
