My name is Jamaine Washington, and I am a former middle school science teacher who's originally from Atlanta, GA. My career in education began 10 years ago in New York City where I received my master's in adolescent science education while successfully helping NYC inner city children bridge their educational achievement gaps. Being a teacher was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. However, I later chose to allow some of my other talents and to flourish. Presently, I have my creative hand in several projects, and I was tutoring part-time for the last year until we started to experience the effects of the pandemic. So being able to remotely tutor students in need of academic improvement during this challenging time would allow me to fulfill my instinctive duty as an educator.
