I am a graduate of the University of Arizona, with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am passionate about teaching and am eager to continue a lifelong career in education. Throughout the past two years, I have worked as an Instructional Assistant and Certificated Substitute teacher for Irvine Unified School District. As an Instructional Assistant at Cypress Village Elementary School, I developed skills in creating strategic and targeted instruction to meet students’ needs. I supported students across all grade levels and subject areas including 2nd through 5th grade reading intervention groups, 4th grade math and writing support, supported 5th grade English Language Learners across all subject areas, and provided small group and individualized instruction in grades K-5. As a substitute teacher, I have worked with students across a wide range of grade levels and abilities, and have experience with a variety of learning activities and curriculum. During the 2019-2020 school year, I have completed two long-term substitute assignments in first grade at Alderwood Elementary School. My most recent assignment lasted throughout the entire period of Emergency Distance Learning. During Emergency Distance Learning, I adapted instruction and implemented a variety of different platforms such as Zoom and Google Classroom. I utilized various online activities, created engaging digital content, and provided opportunities for collaboration, individual practice, and assessment for students. My positive attitude, flexibility, and hardworking nature would make me a valuable addition to your team.
