I grew in Arizona and graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I began teaching in the Phoenix area in 1997, where I taught for 15 years in two different schools. I taught bilingual, ESL, gifted, and regular education in grades 2, 3, and 4. After having my son, I taught for 1 school year as a reading intervention school at a charter school. I have since moved to Charlotte, NC and have been teaching in CMS for 5 years as an instructional coach and a reading intervention teacher. In all, I have 20 years of teaching experience.
