I am a recent graduate from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and two Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Natural and Applied Sciences. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Honors College and the Quantifying Biology in the Classroom (QBIC) Program where I worked as the program’s Biological Sciences and Chemistry Tutor for over 3 years. I have an extensive background leading one-on-one, online and group sessions tutoring in the Biological Sciences including but not limited to General Biology I and II, Cell Biology, Ecology, Evolution, Embryology and Human Genetics at the college level. Furthermore, I have years of experience tutoring high school students from Palmetto High School and Christopher Columbus High School in AP Biology/Chemistry and assisting in AP test preparation. As the QBIC program’s Chemistry Tutor, I conduct sessions in General Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II and Biological Chemistry I and II for over 50 students each semester. Additionally, I have years of teaching experience volunteering with students ages 5-16 at STEM Saturday's where along with FIU's top medical students, I prepare engaging scientific experiments to foster a love of Science in underserved communities of Miami. As an adept Science Tutor at an international university, I have a well-rounded skill set in working with students from diverse backgrounds and honed talents in creating engaging lesson plans and fostering positive, collaborative working environments, thus making me an ideal fit for this position. Furthermore, I am a recognized expert in time-management and a communicative collaborator. My previous roles have strengthened my capabilities in leadership and my interpersonal skills, including a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
