Betzy Gomez has an educational background in services intended to aid disadvantaged and vulnerable groups. She possess a strong sense of community. She beleives that "In helping others, you help yourself." Ms. Gomez holds a bachelor's in Psyhcology with a minor in Sociology from UMass Lowell. While at UMass, she explored the nature and practice of social psychology, including principles of community organization and change as seen in such areas as education, mental health, the workplace, health care, justice system, corrections and social services. Ms. Gomez has designed field research and projects meant to analyze how communities function. As of May 15,2020, Betzy will have her Master's in Education Administration (MED) from UMass Lowell. This program is designed to promote collaboration with other leaders, educators, and community representatives to promote equity of educational opportunity and access for all members of the community. Ms. Gomez has developed leadership skills to address changes and challenges in the community.
