I am applying for the Spanish Teacher position. I am a Qualified Spanish Teacher, certified in MA. I am a Native Spanish Speaker. I have a BS professional Degree from Northeastern University, Boston, MA. I have worked for Israel Loringnand Haynes Elementary School In sudbury. I taught a variety of course subjects to a diverse student population. My schedule included Spanish Immersion 5th Grade,College levels 1 2 3 and 4; Spanish for Native Speakers 1 and 2; and AP Spanish Class. I prepared meaningful lessons targeting specific language skills and concepts. I worked with all of my students, adapting assignments to meet their learning needs. I create an ordered and organized classroom atmosphere which fosters student participation geared towards enhancing speaking, writing, reading and listening skills. I prepare lesson plans integrating technology, arts, keeping classes on track. My skills as a Native Spanish Speaker, with two Degrees from Peru and Boston, enable me to engage my students not only in academic content but also in cultural differences and similarities between Spanish speaking countries. I focus on cultural differences, pronunciation differences, and word usage distinctions, used by different Spanish speaking countries and regions. My students fully integrate their language and learning skills, and, I believe, deepen their appreciation of Spanish and Latin American literature and culture. My academic background and teaching experience provide me with a unique perspective that is particularly valuable in meeting the responsibilities of this position, as described above.
