I hold a BA in Liberal Arts and. California Teaching Credential for K-8 both earned at the University of Redlands. While in college I tutored elementary school students in reading, writing and math and tutored my college level math courses. After earning my credential I got hired to teach elementary school and started to pursue a Master of Education degree, earning my degree in 2014 in Curriculum and Instruction. I taught two years of elementary school (K and 1) and then moved on to teach 7th grade for two years followed by 6th grade for two years. I then moved districts and taught an additional year in kindergarten before deciding to make a career change, pursuing my passion for science by applying for nursing school. I have a strong ability to work one on one with students and am able to both support and challenge them through their academic endeavors.
