I am a junior at UC Berkeley in the School of Engineering holding another BSc in engineering from Alexandria University. As a passionate educationalist who can make students love mathematics/ Physics – even those who have a hard time coping with its complexities at school – I am positive that you will be interested in finding out why I consider myself an excellent candidate for a Math Teacher/ Tutor position. Mathematics curriculum is all very well but my concentration goes a step beyond: • Meaningful learning of mathematics course competencies and supporting all facets of the learning environment. • Encouraging a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility and respect. • Boosting students’ ability to develop a systematic approach to studying mathematical concepts learnt in regular classrooms. • Tutoring students in all aspects of activities associated with mathematics labs such as basic algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP calculus AB, SAT/ACT math and SAT subject test. Also, I’ve been teaching Physics and Honors Physics for over 3 years. I am eager to learn more about the department’s goal.
