Matthew graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics. Throughout college, he was a Teaching Assistant for Introductory Cell and Molecular Biology, where he taught and mentored underclassmen in the Life Sciences. He also participated in scientific research, where he focused on the fields of Immunology and Virology. For his research achievements, he was awarded the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program scholarship and the Dean’s Prize for Excellence during the UCLA Research Poster Day. Throughout his many involvements in the scientific community on-campus and his prior tutoring experience, he was able to mentor numerous students and developed his passion for STEM education. Specializing in SAT Math, high school level Biology and Chemistry, he is excited to share his commitment to science with his students and help them achieve their academic and personal goals. Currently, he is working at a renowned biotechnology company that focuses on developing novel immunotherapeutic cancer drugs. In his free time, he enjoys trying out new food/cuisines, going on spontaneous road trips, watching NBA games, and being active – both indoors and in the gym.
