I just graduated with a Master of Psychology from Concordia University of Portland receiving an honor award. In 2017 I graduated from University of Oregon with a Bachelor of science in Psychology and in Sociology with honor award. A broad explanation of my interest about your position derives from my academic multidisciplinary experience especially within the last two years at Concordia University as a content tutor, as a student success coach, as a teaching assistant, and as a research intern. I have a ten plus years of tutoring experience, both on ground and online, especially in STEM and research writing, which combines a multidisciplinary preparation and easiness in responding to students inquires and in monitoring forums discussions and academic progresses. I have experience working in diverse and multicultural environments and in tutoring students with cognitive disabilities and or physical impairments and students from different language and cultural backgrounds. I am computer literate and I have the training to use a wide variety of programs and applications proficiently; part of my tutoring and teaching experience has focused on instructing students in digital competency, in developing organizational skills and in motivating students for success. I served as a research intern in Concordia Lab for Community & Social Change and in the affiliated projects with the 3 to PhD in collaboration with Portland Public Schools. I co-developed and co-instructed multiple undergraduate seminars. I developed and presented an evaluation framework, for the Concordia student services office, designed to increase student success and retention through more robust academic support services, both on ground and online. In this research I spent the summer of 2019 working also as tele counselor in the admission office. I assisted in the curricular development of a graduate and undergraduate course in Health Psychology; I helped in the development of and co-instructed an undergraduate seminar in Real Utopias, and I developed and instructed an undergraduate seminar on the Psychology of Poverty and Social Class completely online; I assisted students in the psychology graduate program in research design and statistics as a graduate teaching assistant and helped the teacher grading the labs assignments. I assisted the work of the Psychology department director (Dr. B. Carlson) with the Concordia College of Education on an evaluation framework related to national accreditation of the teacher education programs.
