I am a motivated graduate student with a lot of compassion for students and a love of teaching. In my three years of experience tutoring and working as a writing consultant, I maintained a judgement-free and productive learning environment. This is best for the students, their comfort, and their progress! My approach to tutoring produces real, lasting results that proves increased understanding of the target subject. One of the most valuable things I bring to the table as a tutor is the ability to empathize with the student; this makes for a much more productive learning experience. I am not a native Spanish or Russian speaker, so, I too, am a language learner! I understand the methods and techniques required to master different levels of vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and phonetics.Topping this passion off with college preparatory high school and extensive undergraduate and graduate level coursework has polished my writing skills. I privately tutored students in writing and English, as well as consulted for clients concerning various writing formats: APA, Chicago, MLA, and BLUF. I love to help students develop skills that will aid them in the long run; the goal is not to complete their work for them, but to teach them the necessary time management methods and learning techniques so that they can support themselves through coursework in the future. The student is sure to show progress and confidently master course content! Aside from experience, I am a patient and understanding tutor. I believe it is best to work kindly and constructively because my goal is for the student to become confident in their capabilities, not to embarrass them or make light of any academic hardships. I have extensive experience tutoring children and college students from diverse environments and backgrounds; even with language-barriers, significant progress can be made!
