My qualifications include 10 years of working with children as a tutor or teacher, BA in Mathematics for Secondary Education from UC San Diego, MA in Education from UC Irvine, and a teaching credential in California. I am currently in my fourth year as a math teacher at the Arcadia Unified School District. As a tutor, I helped students gain confidence in math and study skills to prepare for upcoming tests. I have tutored all math levels from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus AB as well as SAT I and SAT II Math. The students I have had the pleasure of working with started with grades C or lower and were able to raise them to As. Building strong relationships and understanding each student s individual needs is important to help students become successful. Math is one of the subjects many students dislike and struggle with, so it brings me joy to help students learn and improve. Because it is my favorite subject, I incorporate my love and passion for math into my lessons so that students will find math to be more fun.
