Greetings, my name is Savan Lee and I was born in Thailand. Roughly about a year after I was born, my family and I moved to America to have a better future. I grew up in Fresno, California where I attended elementary, middle and high school. While attending school at Sunnyside High, I was offered a tutoring posting to help elementary students in the after school program. This is when I found my passion in helping students achieve their goals through education. After graduating from high school, I attended the University of California, Davis. While attending college, I worked as a tutor and mentor at Douglas Middle School for two years. I graduate from UC Davis in 2010 with a bachelor degree in Economics and a minor in Sociology. After graduating from college, I obtained a full time position as an after-school Program Coordinator with THINK Together at Franklin Elementary in Elk Grove, California. The after school program consist of 85 students and 4 staff. I currently reside back in my hometown of Fresno, California where I work as an Eligibility Worker for the Department of Social Services.
